About This Item
Boston: Houghton Mifflin, 1948. Very nice copy of first printing. Fresh, bright and clean with no real flaws. Dark green boards with gold, black stamping to spine and front board. Illustrated endpapers show faint tanning is the only flaw I can find. Text supple, clean and fresh. Appears unread. Basis for film that starred Montgomery Clift, Elizabeth Taylor and Eva Marie Saint. Price clipped jacket is a marvel. Bright and as fresh as new. Only flaw is the price clip which is a neat one. Author's only book as he committed suicide shortly after its publication. In mylar, . First American Edition. Hardcover. Fine/Near Fine to Fine. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
