Ilustrado com estampas extra-texto reproduzindo em desenho etnográfico os objectos da cultura material de vários povos do Portugal Colonial Ultramarino, e de outras recolhas, como por exemplo os objectos e informações sobre a ilhas Salomão, Bismark e Nova Guiné presentes em museus portugueses. Obra com recolha de imagens das Exposições Colonial do Porto de 1934 e da Exposição do Mundo Português de 1940, e contendo reproduções de objectos presentes nas mesmas.
