The 'quiet American' of the story is Alden Pyle, an innocent with the best of intentions who causes havoc with his policies. Bright, clean cover with slight edgewear, some wrinkling to spine. First few pages have a light folding down the center of the pages. Pages very clean, not toned, completely unmarked. 189 pages. 4.25 x 7 inches. 1977, Penguin Books, England.

Synopsis

Graham Greene (1904–1991) worked as a journalist and critic, and was later employed by the foreign office. His many books include The Third Man , The Comedians and Travels with My Aunt . He is the subject of an acclaimed three-volume biography by Norman Sherry.
