New York: Doubleday, Page & Company, 1910. A "lost tribe" adventure novel set in Africa, resembling Haggard's "She" and "King Soloman's Mines." This is a Very Good (Plus) to Near Fine copy of the first American Edition, which preceded the English one. Green cloth binding, titled in gilt on the spine. Decoration and titling on the front cover in white and gilt. Clean textt; 326 pages. Frontis colour illustration by Sigurd Schou; four others in black and white within. Tiny bookseller label on the rear paste-down. Minimal wear, with light rub to the margins. A sound and quite attractive copy. In an archival plastic protector.. First American Edition.. Decorative Cloth. Very Good (Plus)/No Jacket. Illus. by Sigurd Schou. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
