Includes his most well known titles. The brown boards are firm, healthy, sound. They have wear and some scuffing. The dedication page has previous owner inscriptions (one being, Edward Osborn - but there is no evidence that he was kin of Sherard). The contents are mildly aged with freckles of foxing and flushes of tanning here and there. However, the pages are by far clean, clear, comfortable, companionable, engaging, ready, welcoming, fit. fk

(London: Bradbury and Evans: 1861) Pictorial cloth (that is, hard covers) pp. xii, 139 (188 x 145 mm). Illustrated, including Coloured Plates additional to pagination. The fourth plate, ‘View of a waterfall’ is missing; the plates are bright but with some foxing; one has some paper at the edge of its image from old over-gluing. Cloth worn, shabby and discoloured; front inner hinge split; lacks rear free endpaper and corner of front free endpaper; scattered marks internally; a fair copy.
