Hardcover. 223p., introduction, biographical notes, bookplate of Leslie Rubin otherwise a very good first edition in decorative cloth boards and unclipped dj with light soiling and short closed tears. Previous owner Rubin "was an outspoken opponent of the apartheid regime in South Africa. A lawyer by training, he was a founder of the South African Liberal party, a member of the senate and a friend of Chief Albert Luthuli, from 1952 to 1967 president of the African National Congress." Guardian obit 2002.
