Text block is free of markings and highlighting. All leaves are intact; no dog-ears or creased corners. Fore- and bottom edges deckled. Laid in is the business card of James L. Weil, the editor and publisher of The Elizabeth Press, with an inscription in ink: "Rochelle -- for you, hot review! Jim" Also inscribed in pencil in rear with a full signature. A sterling copy with practically no wear; light age-toning and a price-sticker residue on slipcase. Unpaginated. <br><br>James L. Weil was born 15 June 1929, in New York, New York, the son of Morris (a financier) and Charlotte (Ullman) Weil. He attended the University of Chicago (A.B., 1950) and Oxford University (certificate, 1954). He has been awarded the Chapbook award for American Weave (1958) and an award from National Endowment of the Arts (1967) for Quarrel with the Rose. His poems are infused with metaphysical whimsy.
