VG/VG-. 16 Cms x 25 Cms. x+267, 13 text figs; sig. top front endpaper of D.Newton (the late David Newton, Emeritus Professor of Physics at Lancaster University), his sometimes extensive spencilled annotations intermittently throughout, plus a note top end pastedown (eraseable but add to importance of copy so advise keeping in situ) , 5 pages (of various sizes, mostly small) of ms. mathematical notes slipped in, otherwise internally clean and tight, covers clean and virtually unworn, unclipped jacket clean but some rubbing, nicking to top edge, some of this internally closed by previous owner, will add protective sleeve when ordered. Differs from 1st ed. in having additional coverage of partical wave analysis and new chapter on the Dirac equation.
