London: Sidgwick & Jackson, 1922 Bl;ue cloth on boards with decoration blind stamped on cover. Gilt titles on cover and spine. Spine is rubbed at head/foot and some bumps to corners, otherwise sound. Letter from the author, a noted naval historian covering three pages and outlining his overall thoughts on service with Q-Ships. Letter is hand written on Royal Thames Yacht Club writing paper and is stuck to front paste down. Also tipped in on FFE is a very good pen and ink sketch of "Brig-10", signed W.E.P. This ship is featured in the book. Frontis. Contents clean with numerous b/w plates. Rough cut pages. Various newspaper items on Q-Ships laid in. One internal crack and plate is detached and laid in opp.p.176. Index.
