First edition of Putting the Boot In with original publisher's binding and unclipped dust wrapper.This is one of Barnes' lesser known works, published as the third part of the four-novel series featuring the protagonist Duffy, a quirky bisexual private detective. The first of the series, titled Duffy (1980) is the most renowned work from this series. Barnes' wrote under the pseudonym Dan Kavanagh to write crime fiction specifically. His other work includes The Sense of an Ending (2011) which won the Man Booker Prize. In the original publisher's cloth binding and unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, excellent. There is some very slight bumping to the head and tail of the spine. Internally, firmly bound. The pages are bright and clean with some light age toning. Fine
