Volumes 76 & 77 bound together; 312; 304 pp. Oversize quarto snug and bright in a finely bound quarter red morocco and red cloth covered sides. Page edges marbled and marbled endpages. Bound by Murphy of Liverpool. Numerous large format illustrations engraved by Swain after John Tenniel. Other illustrators include George Du Maurier & Edward Linley Sambourne. Mild shallow damp blanche to cloth bottom edge with no effect to contents. Mild rubbing to leather at tips. VG ...
