About This Item
New York: Philosophical Library, 1959. 1st ed. . Two-tone blue cloth. VG/Good-VG. 14.5 Cm x 22 Cm. author list+xviii+223, 13 text figs; clean, tight & unmarked, very faint suggestion of edge-browning, bottom sp.sl.rubbed; unclipped jacket genrally clean but all edges rubbed/nicked/chipped, slightly but extensively, brown foxing bottom back and lower back wraparound, will be sealed in protective wrapper. The psychiatrist author list gives 26 items from 1924 onwards, from 1936 onward he was particularly interested in propaganda among other things, and it resurfaces in the present work, many of his titles are rather intriguing ( Women and Propaganda, The Thriller on the American Stage, Marital Disorders Erroneaously calledf Male Sexual Disorders and the more laconic Corruption and Bribery). He thus seems to be mining a vein of popular psychology/psychiatry but with a serious liberal agenda.
