About This Item

Philadelphia and New York: The Beck Engraving Co., Inc, 1940. Metal Coil Binding. Very Good- with no dust jacket/No Dustjacket. Pages include three white leaves and 19 leaves of black, heavy cardstock with individual plates mounted on each, in addition to the title page, which is black with silver lettering. White pages and plate edges show scattered, light gray smudges, and white pages also show some toning around edges, black pages some light corner wear; the front fixed endpaper has a narrow and faint adhesive stain. The internal metal coil binding is clean and even, the gray cloth cover showing surface wear to spine sides, joints, spine ends, and corners, as well as three short white streaks on the front and a patch of pale spotting at the left rear, and general dimming to the gilt titles at front and spine, otherwise sound. Full title page text: "AO Pseudo Isochromatic Plates - Eighteen Plate Selection of Charts and Instructions Approved by the Inter-Society Color Council Subcommittee on ISC Problem 11: Color Blindness Studies. Engraved and Printed by the Beck Engraving Co., Inc. Philadelphia / New York Copr. 1940" (There are, in fact, 19 plates in this particular copy.) 7 1/4" x 6 1/2" x 7/8
