Arthur Sanders Way was a classical scholar, translator and headmaster of Wesley College, Melbourne, Australia. At Wesley he fostered the teaching of natural science, and also brought in the teaching of commercial principles for boys likely to pursue a business career. He resigned in 1892 and spent most of the rest of his life in translating from the classics which included the New Testament Biblical letters of Paul and Hebrews entitled, The Letters of St. Paul to Seven Churches and Three Friends with The Letter to the Hebrews. Wikipedia. <br><br>From his preface: "I have used jointly the Revised Version and that made from the Masoretic Text by Jewish scholars in 1917. <br><br>CONDITION: Hardbound blue linen board, gilt title on sunned spine. Head of spine is chipped, 1.5" vertical tear on top gutter, 2.5" vertical tear lower gutter yhat has been repaired. Page edges spotted, gift inscription on front endpaper; remainder of text free of writing. 246 pp. Very good. Full refund if not satisfied.
