Philadelphia: E. H. Butler, 1852. Though there were many published editions in the U.S., this is the first to have the word "Authorized" on the title page. Full Leather Bound, 6 1/8" x 8", 391 pages, in Very Good Plus condition: Front, signed author illustration nearly separated, 2 owner dedications on first ffe. All pages gold gilt edged. Noted appraiser James Beattie has valued this copy at $225.
