About This Item
Heritage Press, 1964. Hardcover. Very Good. Near fine cloth hardcover (no dust jacket) shows just a touch of wear including previous owner blindstamp at bottom corner of half title page, in very good + slipcase that shows couple of rub spots, touch of soil and exposure toning to samll area of one corner. 285 pages with Sandglass insert, illustrations by Charles Mozley and an intro by Evelyn Waugh. Still a pleasing copy of this first installment in the Forsyte Saga that makes up a part of the popular line of titles from Heritage Press.
Synopsis
The Forsyte Saga is a series of three novels and two interludes published between 1906 and 1921 by John Galsworthy. They chronicle the vicissitudes of the leading members of an upper-middle-class British family. Only a few generations removed from their farmer ancestors, the family members are keenly aware of their status as "new money".
