New York: Student League of America, 1942. Ephemera. Four mimeographed 8.5x11 inch items, the most substantial being the 32-page Proceedings from the convention at which the organization was formed; also included are "Aims of the Student League of America" (2 pages), "Facts and figures on the Student League of America" (3 pages), and "A report of the labor policy and pro-labor activities of the Student League of America" (six pages). Red ownership stamps of M. Rovner in corner, otherwise very good. "The Student League of America is a new national student organization, founded at the National Student Merger Convention, by representatives of the Student Defenders of Democracy, the Student League for Progressive Action, the College Division of the Committee to Defend America, Democracy's Volunteers. and a number of independent campus groups, who met at Harvard University, December 27 to 30, 1941. Each of these groups has given up its separate identity to unite in a liberal, anti-fascist, anti-communist organization, whose two-fold purpose is to win the war and win the peace." - Introduction to "Facts and Figures." Adult advisors to the organization included A. Philip Randolph, Roger Baldwin, Mary McLeod Bethune, David Dubinsky, Reinhold Niebuhr, and many others.
