About This Item
Indianapolis: Bobbs-Merrill, (1925). 1st edition of Erskine's first novel. Signed and inscribed by him on the title page. Adapted from Greek legend and focused on Helen's life after the sacking of Troy and her return to Sparta. A popular work that was the basis for a silent film in 1927 and opera in 1931. 304 pp. Clothbound hardcover. 7.75 x 5.5 inches. Near Fine/NF overall. Shallow loss along the bottom edge of the jacket (possibly a production flaw.) Not price-clipped and now protected by clear archival cover. A very nice copy overall, as shown.
