Bridges copy of my / book- / with deep regard, and with / happy memories of good / friendship over many / years in the Author's Club / John Erskine / April 8: 1926'. Also contains 2 letters. 1922 handwritten letter says students will be at the club tomorrow night, and he expects Bridge to join them. 2nd typewritten letter (signed) from Hamilton Hall Columbia University says Erskine cannot attend the Author's Club tonight due to illness: 'The vocal cords are weakened by the sickness and give me occasional spasms of choking which annoy me...'.
