Hardcover, oroginal coarse grained pebbled cloth, blindstamped on front and rear covers, with gilt decoration on spine largely faded. 472pp., engraved title and printed title page, plus frontis piece. Contemporary owner's signature. "A series of letters of Adina, a jewess of Alexandria supposed to be sojourning in Jerusalem in the days of Herod, addressed to her father, a wealthy Jew in Egypt." Slightly shaken, though hinges still strong and all pages are firmly attached. Mild foxing throughout. A good copy.. New Edition. Cloth. Good. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
