New York : The MacMillan Company , 1905. 1st Edition . Hardcover. Fair/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. Octavo. 323 pages. Hardcover bound in black cloth. There is moderate wear to the binding, which is rubbed and beginning to fray at the edges of the spine as well as slightly at the corners. There is light foxing to the front end paper, and the half title page is nearly fully separated from the spine. Hinges are secure. There is fairly consistent underlining in red ink throughout the text as well as notes in red ink written on the back flyleaf.
