New York: London Records [Decca], 1975. First Edition . Boxed LP Record & Liner Notes. Near Fine [Overall]. London ffrr Stereo # OSA-1166 (1 LP). This is the true First Recording and is NOT available in a CD reissue. The work is brilliantly performed by the National Symphony Orchestra and the University of Maryland Chorus, conducted by Antal Dorati. Featured soloists include Maurizio Mazzieri, Giulia Barrera, Romano Emili, Gabor Carelli, and Ray Harrell. Liner Notes are by Dallapiccola himself and include the libretto in Italian and English. Duration: ca. 46 minutes. CONDITION: Fine Minus LP, scratch-free with minimal surface noise; rich well-defined sound spectrum. Near Fine Liner Notes: a six-page 11.5" x 11.5" enclosed booklet, unmarked but previously folded down the center vertically. Near Fine Box: bright uncompromised cover, with light shelf-wear on the edges, compromised only by a short "remainder" sawcut on the top edge. The record itself is now in a fresh antistatic sleeve. Securely packed and promptly shipped globally.
