Top edge red, 655 [7]pp with original unclipped jacket priced at $3.00. A little pushing to the spine and a small ding along the front edge. Internally there is a bookplate to the front pastedown with a little ghosting to the facing endpaper but no name or inscription. There is a little spotting to the edge of the text block only. The binding is firm and square. The dust jacket, which is now protected in a removable, clear cover (not shown) has a little toning and marking to the spine, and to a lesser extent the panels and flaps. There is rubbing with a touch of surface abrasion to the spine tips and corners with minor loss to two. There is some slight chipping at the head of the spine and a few tiny edge tears of under 0.5 cm and one of 2.2cm to the top of the front panel front panel. All in all a very good 1st edition copy of this Sinclair's 5th Lanny Budd novel set as Europe descends into World War II.
