Size: Octavo (10.25" x 6.75"). Printed title page in red and black (1879). Text in Roman font, occasionally printed in red and black. Text with wide margins on bright paper. Includes a red clamshell box with blue silk interior.

Binding
Superbly bound in dark brown morocco with all-over cathedral style and expertly rebacked. Top board with vignette of the risen Christ and two angels. Rear board with vignette of Mary. Quadruple gilt-paneled maroon leather endpapers with corner fleurons. "Bound by Zaehnsdorf" and "The Mission Home of St. John the Baptist" in gilt on front pastedown. All edges gilt.
Condition
Pages generally crisp, clean, and bright. Three leaves towards the middle strengthened without loss. Very lightly rubbed, mostly to corners. A nice prayer book in a beautiful binding.
