First printing, very good + hardcover shows touch of soil at page edges, light bumping at cover edges, tiny tear at spine tail, small soil streak at top of front paste down, bit of exposure toning along bottom edges and some other light trace wear, in near fine dust jacket (price at flap) that shows tiny wrinkle at bottom corner of front flap and some other very light trace wear. 518 pages. Still an attractive copy of this "..first volume devoted solely to all the essays ever published by this most beloved of writers.

Synopsis

Truman Capote (1924-84) rose to international prominence in 1948 with the publication of his debut novel, Other Voices, Other Rooms . His other works of fiction include Breakfast at Tiffany’s, A Tree of Night, The Grass Harp, and Summer Crossing , the author’s long-lost first novel, which was rediscovered in 2004 and published by Random House in 2005. His nonfiction novel In Cold Blood is widely considered one of the greatest books of the twentieth century.
