About This Item
New York: G. P. Putnam's Sons, 2002. First edition. Hardcover. Fine copy/fine. 8vo. Cloth-backed boards. Pp. (xii), 388. Frontispiece. Illustrated: (48) pp of plates. Checklist. Index. Signed by the author on half-title. The author convincingly argues that the murders attributed to Jack the Ripper beginning in 1888, and a number of others, were committed by the English artist Walter Sickert. Her theory, however, has failed to persuade everyone, and the doubters have not been silent on the internet in response to this book. Read it and decide for yourself.
