About This Item
London: Faber and Faber, 1929. Wraps. Good. Printed orange wraps. 32 pp. An essay by D.H. Lawrence discussing what is considered clean and dirty in society, and how art and literature is thus influenced. He describes "phallic sex," as 'a creative flow,' while defining pornography as an 'attempt to insult sex and the human spirit.' GOOD condition. Some scuffing and chipping along the extremities, with loss of wrapper at the upper left corner. Some soiling and toning to the wrappers, rendering them somewhat grubby in appearance. Minor toning to the text block.
