Rubs to binding, otherwise good, in contemporary half-leather with cloth-covered boards. Neat embossed stamp-impression of Keele University to the blank lower margin of the cover to No. 1, and with the most unusual bookplate of the original owner* to the front pastedown. *Richard Pearse Chope (Antiquarian, printer, and author of 'Ballads Weird and Wonderful'), motto: 'He That Can't Schemy Must Louster'. Subjects covered include Celtic Romance, Ossian, King Arthur, the Rigveda, Shakespeare's Fairy Mythology, the Mabinogion and the Edda. Dates of publication 1899-1902. Extra postage required..
