One steel engraving as frontispiece of each part by artists listed in Davenport's Art Reference and Price Guide. Have parts #'s 1, 3, 4, 5, 7, 9, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 18, 20, 23, 26, 27, 29, 31, 32, 33, 35, 36, 39, 41, 45 and 48. Part 1 and 41 missing front of wrapper. Wrapper often worn on spine, edges often show some wear. A few have minor stains. Excellent engravings of early U.S. history..
