The history of ponies and horses, how to choose a pony, how to school him, how to care for and feed him, suitable equipment, training for riding and jumping, hunting and showing. A special feature is the "Portrait Gallery" at the end, of eight of the best-known pony breeds in the British Isles. Dustjacket has a tear to front at spine (1") and at back along edge at top. Some rubbing and edgewear. Looks good in new mylar cover. A faint red pen mark to cover. Beige paper on boards binding has wee bumps to top corners, clean. Endpapers and text are clean and unmarked. No former owner's name.. Second Edition. HC and DJ. Good/Fair - Good. Illus. by Anne Bullen. 8 3/4 x 6 1/4.
