Swenson; a history of Independence; a history of Dallas by Wes Sherman; a look at sports by Bert Teats and Pebo Shaw; Fraternal organizations; Churches; a history of West Salem by Mrs. Verne Axelson; and histories of Falls City and Bethel. A list of heads of families in Polk County Oregon in 1850 with ages, birth state and occupation, is included, as well as numerous ads from local businesses.
