About This Item

There was, as may be expected, many discussions on the involvement and future of European nations during the early days of World War I. "The Policy of National Instinct" -- A speech delivered by M. Take Jonesco, in the Roumanian Chamber of Deputies during the sitting of the 16th and 17th December, 1915 was one example of such discussions. In this speech, Mr. Jonesco speaks of the changes in government that he believes must inevitably take place as a result of the war.

The speech is contained in a 108 page booklet, in paper covers, that measures approximately 5 by 7 inches. The booklet was printed in London in 1916 by Sir Joseph Causton & Sons Ltd. The pages are very slightly tanned and there is a faint stain on the front cover. The overall condition of the booklet is very good.

The illustrations accompanying this description show the front cover and first page of the speech.

M. Take Jonesco (October 25, 1858 – June 2, 1922) was a Romanian centrist politician, journalist, lawyer and diplomat, who also enjoyed a reputation as a short story author. [Wikipedia]
