Original blue pebble -grained cloth gilt with a double blind border to the covers. No marks, inscriptions and minimal foxing. The preface states 6000 copies had been sold since the first edition. Chief Constable Bicknell was Chief Constable of Lincolnshire and his book was the most popular of several such books published. [the first edition was 1877]. 17 x11 cms. 7th ed., revised & Enlarged. Hardback. Fine. small 8vo.
