New York: Harper & Brothers, 1869. First. Hardcover. Fair/No Jacket as Issued. 6 1/2 x 10 In. FAIR/ NO DUST JACKET. 486 P. Green boards with gilt lettering on spine and image on front and spine. Boards show wear and soiling. Major defect is a 2&1/2" x 1/2" section of the cloth cover in the lower right-hand corner of the front of the book. The binding is solid and the interior is very clean with minor age-toning along page edges. 163 Illustrations. Gift presentation plate on pastedown page dated October 9, 1873.
