Very Good. 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall. 44 chromolithograph illustrations with text beneath, printed rectos only, with title page, and bound in the orignal printed plum colored wraps, measuring 7.5 x 10.5' Some loss to spine and and bottom front cover, and fading along the edges, else a Very Good complete copy. // A work by this author, with this title, place of publication and publisher was published in 1857. Cf. English catalogue of Books. However that work has the following collation: xii, 208 p., [44] leaves of plates : col. ill. ; 16 cm. Cf. NUC pre-56. The exact relationship between the two publications cannot be determined.
