About This Item
London: Hutchinson & Co., 1936. First edition. . Hardcover. Good/Very Good. First edition is striking original dust jacket, with minor expert repairs to a few tears on verso. Review copy, stamped lightly on title pages "With the Publisher's Compliments" and card set in, announcing publication date as Sept. 17, 1936. Book has suffered from tiny but extensive insecting abrasions to edges of boards and spine. Dust jacket remains unaffected and bright, without the fading to purple that might usually be expected -- if the jacket is found at all.
