John Rawlet was a 17th-century Anglican preacher who was known for his defenses and apologetics of Protestantism in England. While many of his works were attacking Catholicism, one of his more mild-mannered works was his collection of poetic meditations. "Poetick Miscellanies" includes Rawlet's poems including:
