London: Ward Lock Bowden and Co, c1895. Leather. Very Good Indeed. 7.5" by 5". Thomas Seccombe. An attractively bound copy of the work of Henry Longfellow, illustrated throughout by Thomas Seccombe. Illustrated throughout, from drawings by Thomas Seccombe. Edited, with a critical memoir on Longfellow, by renowned scholar William Michael Rossetti. Undated, dated using Copac. Henry Wadsworth Longfellow was one of the famed New England 'Fireside Poets'. His eloquent verse present stories of mythology and legend. His best known works include 'Paul Revre's Ride' and 'The Song of Hiawatha' In a half calf binding with marbled boards. Externally very smart with rubbing to the extremities, head and tail of the spine and boards, resulting in slight loss to the leather. Internally firmly bound. Pages bright and clean. Very Good Indeed
