Edited by W. Mason and with an additional memoir of the poets life. With an engraved frontispiece of Gray. Thomas Gray was a poet born in 1716. Publishing only 13 poems during his lifetime he gained great popularity, and was famously offered to position of Poet Laureate, which he declined. A lovely edition of Gray's poetical works ideal for those with an interest in the poetry of the 18th century. In a tree calf binding. Externally, sound, though with some wear to the extremities, including some rubbing. Front joint has failed, with board detached, and rear joint is tender. Small institutional label to front pastedown. Internally, generally firmly bound. Pages are bright, with just a few instances of foxing. Good Only
