About This Item
John Lane,, 1900-01-01. First Edition. Hardcover. Acceptable. Pub. 1900 by John Lane, London and New York. Printed by Ballantyne, Hanson & Co. London and Edinburgh. A worn but attractive first edition. Book displays moderate shelf and edge wear, and is separating from the boards at the spine, about halfway down. Spine is cocked, corners bumped. Requires gentle care. Pages have not yet separated from spine. Text block is deckled, and pages are clean aside from a sticker and written note on inside front board and first free end paper. A steal for a collector of Matthew Arnold. - ZM (Displayed)
