About This Item
George Routledge and Sons, London and New York, 1867. New Edition. Hardcover. Fair/No Jacket. 719 pages (complete). A sturdy, aged, resolute copy. Half leather. The leathered corners and spine are much worn, scuffed, marked. The spine - stamped gilt decoration and titling - is rubbed, dulled. The marbled boards are also scuffed, scratched, marked, worn. The boards and spine are steady and sure. Marbled end papers (bearing the years with ill grace). The first free page and title page have previous owner signatures. The guttering along the ffp is cracked. The general security, or shabby charm of the book is unaffected. Marbled trims. The contents are passive. They have some very occasional tanning, some foxing, some wear. They are otherwise determinedly diligent, clean and clear, very occasionally annotated, firm, bountiful. fk. Our orders are shipped using tracked courier delivery services.
