P. ? ) Else a solid, clean copy. ; Original stamped dark brown cloth, spine lettered in gilt; pastedowns and endpapers of coated brown stock. ; 12mo 7" - 7½" tall; (312) pages; Born in London, abolitionist, poet, and writer Frances Anne (Fanny) Kemble was raised in a family of prominent stage actors. She began her career as an actor and earned acclaim for her 1829 turn as Juliet in Romeo and Juliet, performed at her father Charles Kembles Covent Garden Theatre. .
