First edition of this collection being a new edition of "Rhymes of Travel" (1849) and "The Book of Romaces, Lyrics and Songs" (1851) revised and selected for this edition. 1 vols. 8vo. Original brown cloth, covers stamped in blind with floral lozenge within triple rule and floral decorations in corners, spine lettered in gilt, ruled in blind, remains of small paper private library number label on spine, head and tail of spine chipped, some fraying and wear along edges, publisher's advertisements dated November 1855 at back, some spotting, mostly at front and back. With the bookplate of the "Private Library of H. H. McFarland," dated December 1855 on the front pastedown over a signature of H. H. McFarland. A few pencil marks. First edition of this collection being a new edition of "Rhymes of Travel" (1849) and "The Book of Romaces, Lyrics and Songs" (1851) revised and selected for this edition. 1 vols. 8vo.
