New York; Boston; Chicago: Silver, Burdett and Company, 1901. First Edition. Three Quarters Leather. Very Good binding. First Edition of a book of Charles G. D. Roberts' collected poetry: Poems, published by Silver, Burdett and Company in 1901. Roberts is called the Father of Canadian Poetry, due to his own works and the supportive relation he maintained with many major Canadian poets in their early years. Publisher's advertisements at the front, listing nine titles. Complete, with portrait frontispiece, tissue guard bound in; xii, 222 pp. Armorial bookplate of a Jefferson Wallace, Richmond, on the front pastedown; with his signature, dated 1929, on the front flyleaf. Else no marks of any kind. Minor loss to the top of the spine; wear to the joints; spots of scuffing to the edges of the boards. Three quarters red morocco with gilt lettering, over red marbled paper. Top edge gilt. Very Good. OCLC notes one institutional holding. Very Good binding.

All sales are subject to availability. We make every effort to ship orders within two business days. Virginia residents please add 6.00% sales tax. Library and institutional billing requirements are accommodated. Returns: We accept returns for any reason within seven days of receipt provided we are notified in advance and the book is returned in the condition it was sold. If the book is not represented accurately we will cover return media rate shipping. Shipping costs are based on books weighing 2.2 lbs, or 1 kg. Multi-volume sets, heavy and over-sized books may require additional shipping, particularly if shipped internationally. In this event you will be contacted before the order is processed. The above noted exceptions may apply.
