Selected and arranged by Robert Browning. Binding remains firm. Crinkling to gutters. Pages remain bright and clear with minimal tanning. Occasional foxing. Front hinge is cracked. Boards have mild edge wear with slight rubbing to surfaces. There is bumping to corners and crushing to spine ends. Tanning to spine and edges. Gilt lettering is darkened slightly. Small loss to spine head.

Severe cracking to hinges and gutters causing boards and pages to be loose. Pages have light tanning and foxing throughout. Previous owner's inscriptions to front free endpaper, half-title page and title page. Water staining to some pages, text remains unaffected. Boards have heavy shelf-wear with bumping to corners, crushing to spine ends and rub wear all over. Light tanning to spine and edges.
