Glasgow: W. R. McPhun, 1850. 1st . Hardcover. Very Good. 32mo - over 4" - 5" tall. First printing apparently, no additional dates. 90 pp. + 25 pp. of ads, small format (about 5" tall), in burgundy cloth, gilt titles, aeg. A nice little pocket guide in original cloth with no serious flaws. Hinges firm, complete contents with no significant wear and tears. Neat original owner's name on front free endpaper, minor foxing to contents, cover title very faded, cloth faded with some staining to the rear. Scarce guide.

Glasgow: W. R. M'Phun, 1838. iv, 90, 2pp. With a final leaf of publisher's advertisements. Original publisher's brown cloth, lettered in gilt to upper board. Lightly rubbed and marked. A Glasgow-printed pocket medical guide, that, judging by the imprint was something of a sensation in its time, however only copies of the editions of 1836 and 1845 are extant, and those only recorded at a couple of locations. . Sixth thousand. 16mo.
