London: Oxford University Press, 1961. 1st Edition 5th or later Printing. Hardcover. Very Good/Good. First edition from Oxford University Press and sixth printing. World's Classic's 478. In very good navy cloth boards, blind stamped logo to front, gilt titles to spine. The boards are flat, firm and quite clean. Very white clean end papers. Very lightly tanned cut edges. The first few pages of Prelims are loose and muslin visible from half title page; the rest of the text block is tightly bound and straight and unmarked - near fine condition and excellent for age. Name of previous owner with brief address on a Prelim. Overall condition is very good. In good green dust jacket, with man with sword to front and black titles. The jacket is fairly clean; edge-worn with very small open and closed tears. Not price clipped. Covered in quality plastic jacket.

About Clevedon Community Bookshop
Clevedon Community Bookshop, co-operatively owned, opened on 31 December 2011 and now has a general stock of approximately 20,000 books. Our bookshop in Copse Road is open Tuesday to Sunday from 11.00am to 4.00pm. The co-operative comprises just over 600 members from around the world and was set up to stop the only second-hand bookshop in our town from closing. The benefit of being a member/shareholder is only social: no-one benefits financially. All profits are used to improve the bookshop and its stock, and, through events, to contribute to the literacy and literary profile of our town.
