Very large, thick softcover, heavy, black background with red flames and illustration of warriors on horseback on front wrapper and spine, praise from Library Journal and St. Louis Post-Dispatch on back wrapper, 418 pages, profusely illustrated with photographs by Soule on every odd-numbered page from 185 to 407. Slight wear to top front tip, very slight wear to spine top and bottom edges, very tiny surface wear spots at spine top right, crease down to back left wrapper. Good.
