About This Item
Chicago: University of Chicago Press, 1977. Trade paperback, xii + 436 pages including frontispiece photograph of the Breasted family and map of the Middle East; book very gently read, if at all, spine and front cover flat/uncreased, tight in binding, hardly a trace of shelf wear, just a hint of dust speckling and age toning to top edge, otherwise very clean and unmarked throughout, pages fresh and white, sadly flawed by a tiny hand-printed Dewey library code label clear taped on spine (but no other library markings inside or out), and a corner crease to the bottom corner of the back cover and last twenty pages. See also our listing for James Breasted's own classic A History of Egypt: From the Earliest Times to the Persian Conquest. . Soft Cover. Very Good.
