Details the pioneering efforts of circus proprietors from 1849 to 1900 west of the Rocky Mountains. Extensive black and white illustrations, photographs, reproductions of old circus bills. 212 pp. Red cloth boards. Moderate shelf-creasing to spinecaps. Light rubbing to edges. Light spot 3 inches by 3 inches to rear board with light soiling and spotting elsewhere to rear board. Very light spotting and soiling to front board. One slight corner bump. Very light spine lean. Former owner's name in pen to FFEP.
